ARTIST BIO

Falco is a self-taught young artist coming from Annecy and now based in Paris. Committed, he speaks by updating art history and shaking up codes in the public space. He focuses on meaning and concept rather than aesthetics with images that provoke, point fingers but also question. Also Fascinated by conceptual art and Duchamp's ready-mades, he also loves to play with the definition of art: What makes art? What are its limits?

Between the ages of 15 and 18, he began spreading his FALCO nickname through stickers or personalized t-shirts and ended up studying art history. Faced daily with the analysis of powerful, conceptual and meaningful works of art, he quickly felt the need to also create and share his work but other than through a screen.

To meet this need, he cut out his first stencil and vandalized his first wall in 2019, unaware that what he was doing was in reality "street art". Later, with the aim of becoming a graphic designer, he joined a school of applied arts which he left 3 weeks later. He understands that he cannot create if someone holds the top of his pen and if he is forced to express himself with filters.
