This skateboard deck features Jean-Michel Basquiat’s 'Boone' (1983), a raw and irreverent reinterpretation of the iconic 'Mona Lisa'. In typical Basquiat fashion, the familiar portrait is disrupted—her face smeared with exaggerated red lips and a blackened eye—transforming a revered image of classical beauty into something far more immediate, unsettling, and alive. Basquiat’s fractured approach strips away the art-historical aura and replaces it with his own energetic mark-making, symbolizing both rebellion against tradition and a reclamation of artistic space.
